Oh my, it is snowing like crazy on the Stokely trails! Based on winter weather advisories and snow squall warnings, we expect more than 10 inches over the next five days. Trail grooming updates will be posted on the website as soon as they are available.
Your room is ready for you. We are planning to be open this winter because one of the healthiest places to be is outdoors surrounded by nature on the Stokely ski and snowshoe trails. With guests arriving soon, we are making plans to keep our guests safe inside the lodge as well. We have plans to use four different areas for dinning so all groups or families can social distance. Camaraderie is a signature part of the Stokely experience, but we will put everyone's health first. We know things continue to be uncertain with COVID, but we are planning that fully-vaccinated people who have negative COVID tests will be able to cross the border. Our Canadian guests will also need to be fully vaccinated. These are regulations that we need to follow.
We are pleased to announce that, once again, Stokely Creek has been named one of the top five North American cross-country ski resorts in the USA Today Readers’ Choice Travel Awards. We came in fourth, quite a feat given that many of the other resorts serve far more skiers per year than we do (and thus have more potential voters). Heartfelt thanks to all of you who cast your votes – and for whom Stokely will always be the #1 cross-country ski resort on Earth. We can’t wait to see you this season.
