Skiing at Stokely

The Stokely experience is out on the trails. You will long remember the views, the challenges, and your personal accomplishments. Regularly groomed and well marked, the trails cover more than 100 km of varied terrain.

Step out the door and you are steps from the wilderness. There are trails for every ski level. Well groomed trails, magnificent beauty and the silence of the  wilderness = STOKELY.

Ron Bergin retired publisher of Cross Country Skier magazine:

"And with no desire to slight any of dozens of other great destination ski sites across the U.S. and Canada, I can with

comfort state that Stokely Creek Lodge and trails is quite simply my favorite"

Snowshoeing at Stokely

The Snowshoe trails designed by Bob and Lucie, encompass all the beauty the area offers. Choose trails from 2 to 25 kilometers. Your choice can take you to the heights of King Mountain or the cool architecture of the Beaver Dam in the valley below.

Nothing is more breathtaking than stopping beneath the frozen waterfalls, walking along the creek or viewing the vistas from on top King Mountain.

James Smedley, Outdoors award winning photographer and writer.

"With Stokely's world classic Nordic ski trails and new network of snowshoe trails, a healthy appetite comes with the territory."

Stokely's Trails

Nature makes the trails, we groom them for your enjoyment.

The trails are groomed for classic and skate skiing. 12,000 acres of wilderness takes you from thrilling runs down King Mountain, to gentle rolling trails through hardwood forest and around 9 undeveloped lakes.

The extensive trail system includes 6 warming huts, strategically placed, so skiers can warm and refresh themselves by the fire.

Groomer on trail

Alex Lapensee has been grooming the trails for 31 years. He arrives by dawn before the skiers awake to begin the trails. With the help of groomers Jonathan and Richard, it often takes all day for the groomers to complete the Stokely trail circuit.
