So Much Snow We're Extending the Season!

Updated: Feb 24, 2022

Most every evening in the Goulais River area there are snow squall warnings. And every morning all three groomers are out again refreshing the 100 km of Stokely ski trails. So if you are looking for snow and great skiing Stokely is the place.

Our groomers are telling us that there are easily 6 feet of snow on the ground. Yesterday two skiers stepped off the trail to let the groomer go by and they were buried in snow only to be rescued by the groomer. But the trails are packing well; several skiers have said skiing is the best it has ever been.

With just over two weeks left we have decided because of all this amazing snow to extend the season to March 19th. It is said that spring skiing is the dessert at the end of the meal.

Join us for "Ski Walker Lake Event" scheduled for March 12th and 13th. Time will tell if we actually can get a groomer on Walker Lake because of all the snow. But the event will still include a picnic lunch and s'mores overlooking the lake. Spring picnics in the snow are the best! This event including a picnic lunch is free with an overnight stay.

Dayskiers $25

Snowshoeing is the best even if the weather gets a bit warmer. So on March 18 and 19 we are doing a guided tour which includes snowshoeing, then skiing, lunch, snowshoeing, and skiing again. Your skis and snowshoes will be portered and lunch will be served at Stokely Lake Cabin. Reservations are required and limited for this event. Call 705-649-3421 today to reserve your spot.

Free event with an overnight stay. Day skiers $45

Looks like the Canadian border will be easing testing requirement soon. We will announce as soon as we get new information.

Canadians take advantage of the staycation tax credit.

It has been a wonderful season and we are looking forward to many more people enjoying our snow especially if there is little on the ground back were you live.
