Stokely Loppet 2026

We’re thrilled to bring a loppet back to Stokely — a fun, family-friendly celebration of cross-country skiing and community at Stokely Creek Lodge on January 31!

If you’re new to the term, a loppet is a welcoming ski event that’s all about participation, adventure, and enjoying the trails together. It’s less about racing and more about choosing a distance that suits you, skiing at your own pace, and soaking up the atmosphere — snacks included.

This year’s loppet offers three distance options to suit all abilities:

• 4 km – perfect for families, beginners, and relaxed skiers

• 11 km – a fun challenge with a scenic highlight

• 34 km – a classic longer-distance adventure for seasoned skiers

Participants can start any time after 9:00 am from the Day Skiers Cabin. Those doing the 34km route will have a mass start at 9:30am to ensure they have enough time to complete the route. Muffins and refreshments will be available there to get you fueled up before heading out.

Skiers on the 11 km and 34 km routes will enjoy a special loop on Walker Lake, complete with hot chocolate and cookies along the way — a true Stokely treat.

After your ski, head to the Main Lodge, where lunch is served between 12:00–3:00 pm and is included with registration. Stick around to enjoy the lively post-ski atmosphere with a bar and entertainment — the perfect way to celebrate your day on the trails.

Registration Fees

• $35 – Overnight guests at Stokely Creek Lodge

• $35 – Stokely season pass holders

• $65 – Adults

• $45 – Youth (ages 6–18)
