In an effort to reduce hot water all shower heads were replaced with energy savers. Skiing guests now have a conveient “No Housekeeping Please” sign that they can hang on the room door handle. On stay overs, many guests are helping by choosing to use towels more than once. It all goes towards cutting down on energy consumption. They are also willing to turn down thermostats when they are out skiing for the day. Most of Stokely’s skiing customers are very green conscious and are more than willing to participate in these endeavours.Recently purchased grooming equipment has given us a nice option under certain conditions to use smaller machines for grooming without sacrificing grooming quality. This helps conserve on diesel fuel consumption in our bigger groomers. Along with low energy light bulbs and turning off things that don’t need to be on have all had a positive effect. Stokely thanks all of the skiers that stay at Stokely for helping make these initiatives work!
