Special Events and March Rates

Longer days, warmer temperatures, flowing creeks, and discount rates make skiing in March an exceptional experience. Join us for Ski the Lakes weekend, March 9-11, and enjoy the opportunity to ski across several groomed lakes and end with a barbeque on Walker Lake. March 16-18 is the final ski and snowshoe weekend at Stokely this 2012 season. Since the Midwest has experienced spring most of the winter, take your winter vacation In March!

Stokely will be open throughout the off season for lodging. If you are traveling through the area, stop and spend the night with us at Stokely! Our winter guests often come back for kayaking, biking, hiking, or the fall color tour around Lake Superior. There are several good restaurants in the area that we can heartily recommend. Call ahead and we'll have a guest room ready for you. The cost is just $97 a night per room. The best way to reach staff at Stokely in the the off season is by emailing us.

Fall Weekend and Photography Workshop: October 5-7

Do you have a free weekend in October? Consider filling it with a fun, fall color getaway to Stokely! Come to hike, bike, or just enjoy the fantastic scenery. You can also participate in a photography workshop hosted by James Smedley, an award-winning photographer from Ontario. James' images have been used in international advertising campaigns and editorials; you can check out his work on his website. Stokely is excited to have such a well known outdoor photographer leading this often requested event. James says "I'm confident there is no shortage of photography opportunities right around Stokely - fall colours, lookouts, moving water, falls, chance of wildlife, and tremendous opportunities - inland lakes, Lake Superior, and rivers along the coast - within a short drive of the site." The workshop is $150 for a day and a half (Saturday and Sunday morning) with James.

Sea and River Kayaking

Stokely Creek Lodge and Caribou Expeditions are working together to provide a great package deal for a two day kayaking experience!
