Although we were busy hosting off season events in August and September, we were not distracted from the improvement projects that we started back in April. The owners of Stokely Creek Lodge are committed to providing a comfortable, clean, and well maintained facility for our skiing guests and off season visitors. As well, a number of new projeccts have been initiated for the improvement of the facility and the convenience of Stokely skiers. New rugs have been installed in rooms 22,23, and 24 in the Hillside chalet, and room 25 in the Dayskiers cabin. The floor in the Dayskiers cabin has also been refinished and benches painted. The attractive cedar handrailing across the front of the Dayskiers cabin has also been completed by Richard. It can’t help but catch your eye, as it is the first thing that you will see coming up “Stokely Lane”. New board walks have been installed behind the Hillside chalet and the Chippewa chalet. The most notable improvements are the new and attractive roof overhangs that Richard has constructed along the backs of the Hillside Chalet and Chippewa chalet, and along the front of the Ottawa chalet. The Clubhouse interior also received a fresh coat of paint courtesy of Sue Byker and her parents. We will be continuing to work on our list of maintenance jobs, projects, and improvements right into December.
