The running of Stokely’s annual Wabos Loppet went off without a hitch.

Although the numbers were down, the 90 skiers that did the Loppet had a great time. The ginzu groomer prepared the trail from Wabos to Norm’s cabin early Sunday morning before the skiers came through and did a superb job. Sunny skies and warmer temperatures after 12:00 noon made for softer and slower conditions and skiers arrived back at the day skiers cabin a little later than normal. Live entertainment, good food, a friendly atmosphere made for a very enjoyable day. All participants made it through under their own steam, and was from my perspective the smoothest running loppet’s that I have been involved with. Thanks to all of the volunteers and ski patrol that made this special day a success!
