Norm’s cabin has been a long time favorite destination for many of Stokely’s skiers. Located on Bone Lake, and about 11 km out from the main lodge, many skiers remember Norm’s hospitality as he would always have hot tea and cookies waiting for those who would stop in for a visit. Having a colorful past and a flare for telling stories, Norm would entertain for hours to many an interested listener. His cabin is just loaded with all kinds of pictures and knick knacks and there is a story behind each one. Norm is now up in years and hasn’t been at his cabin for a number of years. We still attempt to man the cabin on the weekends as it is still a popular destination. You will be happy to know that Norm, who has been in a nursing home for several years is doing well. His doctor called the other day and told me he celebrated his 94th birthday last Tuesday. He was asking how his cabin was doing. Although his body has deteriorated, his mind is still sharp. Happy birthday Norm!
