Stokely’s extensive ski trail system always leaves first time skiers longing to come back even before they leave!
Feb.16, 2010
Bob Almack from Blackstock Ont. and Liz Henderson arrived at Stokely for the first time last Friday determined to put our trail system to the test. Over the next three days they skied an average of 36 kms per day for a total of 108 kms. Not bad when you consider their combined age is 100. While not skiing every trail that we have, they didn’t shy away from the more difficult ones, including King Mountain West Peak, Erling Strom, Bas’ Bypass, King Mountain Trail, and the new Lapointe Lake trail. While many of our skiing guests come from the United States, the Canadian content has gone up this season. I suspect that Bob and Liz will be lending their support to the Canadian side in the years to come. The reality is that Americans and Canadians mix so well at Stokely that you can’t really tell one from the other except for the odd accent or word peculiarity - eh?
