Here is an update on what we are planning for this coming weekend
March 10, 2010
Things are warming up fast at Stokely. The warm weather is almost a month early from the normal -1 to -10. We realize you are probably watching the Stokely weather closely, so we wanted to let you know what is going on for this weekend. Our guests are still out skiing and having a good time with spring skiing and the trails are holding up, but it looks like the conditions will not work for skiing the lakes this weekend. Our ski trails to date still have a good base in most places, and skiing is still decent in the morning and late afternoon. There is a possibility that early Saturday morning things could firm up on the lakes but we are not planning on that. We know you want to enjoy the last of the snow so we are planning an alternative event.
1. Ski and snowshoe and play scrabble on the trails. Everyone who finds all the letters S-t-o-k-e-l-y by making it to seven destinations will win a Stokely prize.
2. Saturday evening there will be entertainment at the Day skier’s cabin with an outside fire for roasting marshmallows. (smores)
3. Friday and Saturday evening the Bykers will lead a night walk under the stars. Bring your headlights if you have them.
We will be there and hope you still plan to join us.
