Ski The Lakes Weekend

Jan.28, 2010

It’s time to start thinking about reserving for this fun filled weekend. March is usually the best time to ski on our lakes. The ice is at its thickest and a good crust usually forms because of warmer days and cool nights. Skating is at its best, and we also track for classic. This weekend is certainly more than just skiing on the lakes. Our trail system is usually still in very good condition at this time of year. Being able to ski on the lakes is an added bonus. Last year’s Ski the Lakes was a smashing success. The weather was gorgeous, the skiing was great, the food was delicious, the camraderie warming. Coupled with some dog sled teams and bagpipes on the lakes and entertainment on Saturday night was a perfect way to end the season. I anticipate the same for this year.
