Recent lake effect snow has given us more snow than we can deal with.
Dec.11, 2009
16 Inches of snow have fallen since 4pm yesterday and it is still snowing heavily as I type. Don’t be fooled by the Sault Ste. Marie weather forecast. Although we are just 20 miles north of the Sault, we have received a significant amount more snow. That is the nature and unpredictability of the effect that Lake Superior has around here. Trails that were rolled yesterday were not even distinguishable today. That along with a significant number of windfalls are making it difficult to get caught up. One thing is for sure - we have more than enough snow to open up our trail systems.
