Frequently Asked Question

Jan.20, 2010

The answer to the question is “Not great.” While the chances of seeing the smaller sort - squirrels, ruffed grouse, otter, fox are pretty good, the bigger critters like moose in particular are not so good. The reason for this is that moose tend to herd in the winter. Typically they will find an area where there is a lot of feed and stay there, so they are not moving around too much. That being said, moose tracks have been spotted on our ski trails off and on throughout this season along with timber wolf tracks. Therefore it is always a good idea to bring along your camera.
