One of my first jobs of the morning is to get a fire going in the den’s attractive fireplace. There is something alluring about the crackle and flames of the cedar kindling as it kick starts the maple and birch firewood into action. A warm fire has a way of encouraging warm and friendly conversation. A warm fire, friendly people, a cup of Stokely’s best “swill” - what a great way to start the day!
