Because Stokely’s snowshoe trails have been masterfully weaved around and in proximity to Stokely’s ski trail system by Bob Yankus and Lucy Gagnon, you can now ski and snowshoe at the same time!

Combining Skiing and Snowshoeing

Some skiers are now strapping snowshoes on their packs, skiing to various locations on the trail system where the snowshoe trails intersect and then switching to snow shoes. The King Mountain area seems to be the magnet for such activity, as the snowshoe trails now go over to the summit as well as the frozen water fall trail, opening up a whole new area to explore on top of majestic King Mountain.
