An interesting event took place in our dining room last night.

I think I had mentioned in a previous blog that the Canadian content had increased at Stokely Creek this year. In the dining room last night there were eleven people (including myself). We have a few days of slack before our numbers go up for the Wabos Loppet weekend. The interesting thing however was that of the eleven, six were Canadian and five were American. Not only that, but as it turned out, all the Canadians just happened to be sitting at one table and the Americans at another. It wasn’t until an observant American (Dave Stebbins) pointed out this phenomena that I realized that for the first time Canadians outnumbered Americans in Stokely’s dining room. Hence, the score was Canada 6 and the U.S. 5. Kind of reminded me of a recent hockey score - Canada 3, U.S.2. Not that I’m gloating or basking in a “golden” glow or anything like that, eh.
