Another couple inches of snow overnight. It is difficult to believe all the snow we have at Stokely. Seeing is believing so if you want to see daily photos go to Stokely Creek Lodge Face Book page. A picture is worth a thousand words. We are shoveling off all our roofs for the second time this year.
Our trails are firmly pack with about 20 inches of snow and we have about 3 feet on the ground.

Did you know that with the U.S. exchange rate you are getting about 30% off your bill. Someone called us about the bill the other day. He had received his bank statement and thought we had undercharged his $400 but that was just the adjustment for the exchange rate. So if you are looking for a discounted vacation come on up.

Susan and Gaylen and about 30 Stokely Staff who love working here in our wilderness lodge

Stokely’s Hut to Hut Held on Feb.4th

january 12, 2017

The Hut to Hut ( Feb. Saturday the 4th) this year will feature our most remote route, the gem of our snowshoe system, the Peregrine Pass. Bob our snowshoe trail developer is taking us on his favorite route, which includes walking up and down through the forest, past and under ice cliffs, with panoramic views of the Algoma Highlands and Stokely’s massive frozen water falls. The only way to get to these places is with Bob so join the trip. Ski to Stokely Lake hut, snowshoe the Peregrine Pass to the Hakon Lein Hut for lunch and then ski back to the lodge.

Bring a ski bag and a small back pack with dry and proper clothing (gloves, boots dry socks, hats, water bottles, etc) for each portion of the trip. The return ski to the lodge is mostly downhill through the forest. This will be a rewarding day of scenery, exercise, food and friends.

$15 for overnight guests, a $25 fee for season pass holders. Day skiers will pay $40 which includes a discounted day pass. Make your reservations for the Hut to Hut when you book your stay, or as soon as possible. This event fills quickly. This includes transportation of your skis and snowshoes, snacks and lunch and guided tour

Time schedule: 9:00 am to 9:30 - Prepare to leave and load sled. 9:30 to 10:30 - Ski to Stokely Lake Cabin 10:30 to 11:00 -

Stokely guests have been telling us that this week has been the best skiing ever at Stokely. Our groomers who work so hard are thankful for the feedback. All our snowshoe trails are also groomed even to the frozen water falls. If you are skiing or snowshoeing this is one of the views of the Stokely Creek that will refresh your mind.

As Stokely looks forward to a great New Year we are so thankful for our guests who keep coming back year after year.
